The Portland Timbers were allocated just shy of 1000 tickets, but that hasn't stopped Timbers Army fans from picking up tickets The 21,000 plus crowd will remain overwhelmingly behind Crew SC, but there will be a significant Green and Gold presence in the stands.

Crew SC invades ESPN's College Gameday

Think Columbus is excited about hosting New York Red Bulls Sunday at MAPFRE Stadium in the MLS Eastern Conference Championship? Some fans shared their Crew SC love with fans of the American variety of football, invading ESPN's College Gameday show to display the hard work of the #tifosweat gang. A pair of tifos made the airwaves — a "Pipa for Heisman" in honor of Fedrico Higuain, and another depicting the pairing of Black & Gold star striker Kei Kamara and Ohio State star running back Ezekiel Elliott. Eastern Conference Final Tickets Scarce

Crew SC hasn't officially announced it, but it sounds like MAPFRE Stadium is already sold out for next week's first leg of the Eastern Conference Final. Morgan Hughes, cohost of the Massive Report Podcast, mentioned the fact on twitter on Sunday. Hughes has several connections within the Crew SC front office and is well placed to know.

Kei Kamara steps away from international career.

Kei Kamara is having a record setting season for Crew SC in 2015 and that has attracted the interest of the Sierra Leone national team. He rejoined the team in September and played in the 0-0 tie against Ivory Coast on the 6th. In a Facebook post however, Kamara said he was stepping away from the national team indefinitely. Kamara did say he's hopeful to resume his international career in the future. Kamara didn't cite a reason for the decision.

Swanson heading to Germany to train with clubs

Columbus Crew SC homegrown midfielder Ben Swanson is set to spend a month or so training with different clubs in Germany, potentially with one eye on a future loan.

Wil Trapp called into U-23 Olympic Qualifying Squad

Wil Trapp has been a U.S. youth mainstay and he'll be once again tapped to help out. He'll join the U-23 team for the CONCACAF qualifying tourney. The U.S has games on October 1st, 3rd, and 6th. Knockout games are on October 10th and 13th. By releasing Trapp outside the international window, Crew SC won't have him for their game against New York on October 3rd.

YES! It's as insane as it sounds. Clark faced off against Kongsvinger and Haugesund at the same time during his time at Honefoss. I can't even describe it.

Ethan Finlay one of 5 Crew SC players on ASN100

American Soccer Now released their August list of the top 100 players in American soccer and Ethan Finlay continued his ascent. The speedy winger was rated the 30th best American player at the moment. Joining Finlay on the list was Michael Parkhurst at 43, Wil Trapp at 46, Steve Clark ranked 76th, and recent aquisition Jack McInerney landing at 82.

USA Today: Crew SC have 6th best logo in America

Take a bow Crew SC, Chris Chase of USA Today's FTW rated the team's logo as the best in MLS and the sixth best in America. The team was only bested by the seminal Cowboys star, the retro Golden State Warriors logo, MLB's tricolored batter, the Texas Longhorn, and the venerable Red Wings logo. That's some rarified company for the Black and Gold.
