Just one week removed from the team’s first game at Capital University’s Bernlohr Stadium, the Columbus Eagles once again hit the road, battling in-state rival Dayton Dutch Lions FC at West Carrollton High School just outside of Dayton.
The Dutch Lions took an early lead before a shot by midfielder Sarina Dirrig deflected off a Dayton defender and into the net to tie the game at 1-1.
The hosts captured the lead once again in the second half but that did not last long as Marike Mousset buried a late shot to earn a share of the points and finish deadlocked with the Dutch Lions 2-2.
