Everything you need to know for the Crew’s Decision Day game against the Fire.

MLS: Columbus Crew SC at Chicago Fire Kamil Krzaczynski-USA TODAY Sports

It’s Decision Day in Major League Soccer as the conclusion of the 2021 regular season has arrived. Seven games across the Eastern Conference will all kick off at 3:30 pm ET with the Crew’s match with the Chicago Fire among them. While the Fire is eliminated from MLS Cup playoff contention, the Black & Gold enter the final game of the year at Lower.com Field needing a win and plenty of other results to miraculously make the postseason.

The defending MLS Cup champions know they need to defeat Chicago by a considerable amount of goals to have a chance to make the MLS Cup playoffs. The Crew needs a win, a New York Red Bulls loss, D.C. United to lose or draw, CF Montreal to lose or draw and to make up seven goals on the Red Bulls to play again in 2021. The Fire will play for pride as the team has already cemented a 12th place finish in the East.
