New York Red Bulls v Columbus Crew

The final group match of the MLS is Back Tournament for Columbus Crew SC is here and with a knockout round spot clinched, the Black & Gold will face Atlanta United tonight in Orlando, Florida for a perfect record in Group E. The Crew has played four games in 2020 and have yet to lose or concede a goal from open play.

Atlanta has had a disappointing MLS is Back Tournament with two losses in two games. The Five Stripes fell to the New York Red Bulls 1-0 and then dropped the same score to FC Cincinnati. Atlanta had 10-men for most of the second game and have looked flat in the absence of forward Josef Martinez. United has to win to have a chance of qualification to the knockout phase.

Group E will conclude tomorrow with FC Cincinnati taking on New York Red Bulls at 8 p.m. ET. The match will determine who will likely finish in second place and qualify for the Round of 16.

If the Crew wins or draws, the team will win Group E.

If Atlanta wins, it can qualify for the knockout round.

Possible Round of 16 Opponents:

If the Crew wins Group E, the team will face the runners-up of Group D. That will be Sporting Kansas City, Real Salt Lake or Minnesota United.

If the Crew finishes second in Group E, the Black & Gold will face the winners of Group F. That will be Portland Timbers or Los Angeles Football Club.
