While there still aren’t live Major League Soccer games to watch these days due to the coronavirus outbreak, both teams and the league continue to try and bring games to fans by re-airing classic matches. Columbus Crew SC is among that group.

After replaying multiple games from the team’s history over the least two weeks, the Crew announced on Monday that the team will re-air three matches this week, both on SportsTime Ohio and the team’s official website (columbuscrewsc.com). Matches are set to air both Monday and Wednesday of this week.

On Wednesday, April 15, the Black & Gold will showcase the 2018 MLS Cup Eastern Conference Knockout Round match against D.C. United from Nov. 1, 2018 that ended in a dramatic penalty kick shootout victory for the Crew. The stream will begin at 12 p.m. ET on the team’s website. This game was known as the night former Crew goalkeeper Zack Steffen saved a penalty kick from D.C.’s star player Wayne Rooney. Columbus went on to win that contest 2(2)-3(2).

SportsTime Ohio is set to air both legs of the first MLS Hell Is Real Derbies against FC Cincinnati, beginning with the first game at MAPFRE Stadium that originally aired on Aug. 10, 2019. The first leg will be shown tonight, Monday, April 13, 2020, beginning at 7 p.m. ET. On Wednesday, April 15, 2020, the second leg of the Hell Is Real Derby at Nippert Stadium that was played on Aug. 25, 2019, will air at 7 p.m. ET. Both matches on SportsTime Ohio are also set to stream through the FOX Sports GO app. The Crew and FC Cincy drew the first leg 2-2, before Columbus defeated the Orange & Blue 3-1 on the road.

Last week, MLS did a MLS Classics: Remix of the first leg of Hell Is Real where Jonathan Mensah was a guest commentator along with Andrew Gutman from FC Cincinnati, providing analysis and commentary from what their experience was like on the field with Andrew Wiebe and Matt Doyle of mlssoccer.com.

It’s important to note that the matches shown on SportsTime Ohio will be geo-fenced to the Crew’s territory per MLS Guidelines.

Continuing with programming from the Crew, the Black & Gold will also feature Home Workouts led by Kelly Roderick, the club’s assistant strength and conditioning coach, The Breakdown featuring TV analyst Jordan Angeli providing analysis, Weekly stay-a-home Recipes from team dietician Jay Short and a Kid’s Corner featuring videos and activities for children.

Supporters can also tune in to the club’s weekly radio show, “Inside The Crew,” on 97.1 The Fan every Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET.
