Massive Introduction: Who is Adam Miller?

Meet Adam, one of the newest writers at Massive Report.

Editor’s note: As Massive Report expands its staff in the coming week, we will introduce each new member by having them write a little something about themselves to help the MR community get to know them. Who are they? What’s their soccer background? How long have they been a fan of the Crew? Whatever they want to share to introduce themselves to our great and loyal readers. Today we introduce Adam Miller.

Ever since I can remember I’ve had a ball in my hand. My first word was “ball,” my first memory is watching a bunch of guys kick a ball with my dad. Most of my life experiences revolve around a ball. It wasn’t always a soccer ball, mind you. I flirted with other spherical objects from time to time, but have always stayed true to soccer. Fast forward a bit and now I’m an assistant coach at a small university in Phoenix, Arizona teaching others (trying to at least) what to do with the ball.

My Columbus Crew SC fandom started at a young age and I credit much of it to my dad, the most loyal Crew supporter I know. At first, it was something fun to do every weekend, then it turned into a learning exercise as I tried to learn from the players on the field as I dreamt of being in their shoes one day. Then all of a sudden it was a passion of mine, from the struggles of the early 2000s, to the triumph of 2008, to the saving of the Crew. I have lived and breathed every second of it.

I suppose you could say that’s why I am here now, that’s why you’re reading this. Save The Crew showed me what a Massive club this truly is. Writing for Massive Report is my way of trying to give back to the club, and the community that has given me so much. Through tactical insight, making fun of our opponents (FC Cincinnati, specifically), discussions and debates and whatever else comes our way, let’s do this together, just like we always have.

Glory to Columbus,

Adam Miller
