The Columbus Crew needed a big win on Major League Soccer’s Decision Day on Sunday. The Black & Gold got that with a 2-1 win against Atlanta United at MAPFRE Stadium that helped the team secure a third-place finish in the Eastern Conference and a home game in the MLS Cup playoffs.
Columbus was led by goals from Lucas Zelarayan and Gyasi Zardes and got a more classic performance from this Crew defense, only conceding on a penalty kick attempt.
Following the massive Sunday afternoon, Thomas Costello joined host Andrew Atkins for The Crew Review Podcast where the hosts gave their reactions to the Black & Gold’s win against Atlanta.
Here is what you’ll get from this week’s episode:
- What did we think of the Crew’s performance in the win?
- How far will Columbus go in the MLS Cup playoffs?
- Why was there so much drama late in the game?
- Where did Andrew’s voice go?
Listen as we answer these questions and review the Crew’s performance against the Five Stripes.
