It was a special night for the game of soccer in Central Ohio

Ralph Schudel

It’s been a rivalry two years in the making and on Saturday evening FC Cincinnati and Columbus Crew SC finally met for their first clash in Major League Soccer. The Blue & Orange jumped out to an early lead but goals from forward Gyasi Zardes and midfielder Pedro Santos powered the Black & Gold to a 2-2 tie, setting up a winner-take-all match at Nippert Stadium on August 25th.
