After a hard-fought draw on Saturday, Columbus Crew SC returns home Wednesday night to welcome the Philadelphia Union to MAPFRE Stadium. It’s a quick turnaround for both teams, although the Union had a day more rest.

It’s been a slow start to 2018 for Philadelphia, a team Columbus already saw once this year, getting a 0-0 draw in Chester, Pennsylvania back in mid-March.

Live updates:

90’+ Martinez checks out for Alex Crognale.

90’+ Grella dribbles around Elliott and fires a shot that’s deflected wide. Crew SC corner.

90’ Steffen comes up HUGE to save #CrewSC! Medunjanin’s cross is redirected on frame by Sapong, but Steffen gets down to preserve the shutout.

85’ Afful floats another cross into the box that Higuain flicks on. It went JUST over Blake’s goal.

81’ Mike Grella on for Argudo.

80’ Dockal with a shot from the top of the box. It’s saved by Steffen.

77’ Yellow card to Elliott.

70’ Martinez goes one on one with Elliott and fires a shot that forces Blake into a low save.

62’ Trapp with a rocket from 24 yards out that forces a diving save from Blake.

59’ Federico Higuain on for Hansen for Crew SC.

53’ Zardes gets a tap after two Blake mistakes. The Union goalkeeper came out and mishandled the ball in the air. Martinez plays a cross right to Blake, but he mishandles again. Easy for Gyasi. 1-0 Crew SC.

47’ Hansen lays it off to Valenzuela at the top of the box. His shot goes just wide!

46’ Second half begins.

HT: Crew SC 0 Union 0

45’+ Zardes with a cross from the left. Hansen there but can’t do anything with it.

44’ Trapp taken down about 24 yards straight out from goal. Good free kick spot for Crew SC.

41’ Afful collects a ball on the sideline and cuts into the box. He fires a left-footed shot that clangs off the post. CLOSE!

39’ Martinez feeds Argudo, who plays a low cross into the danger area. Hansen’s first touch is poor and he can’t get a good shot off.

36’ The ensuing corner is played long and Afful runs on to it. He shanks it well over though.

35’ Another floated ball into the box. Another header behind by Elliott. Another Crew SC corner.

33’ Argudo’s corner is right to the top of the six-yard box, but no one is there. It’s cleared behind for another corner.

33’ Martinez crosses the ball into the mixer, but it’s Elliott clearing this one behind. Another Crew SC corner.

27’ Jonathan runs into Blake after he collects the ball and receives a yellow card.

24’ A dangerous cross from Trapp forces Philly to head behind for a Crew SC corner. Nothing comes of it.

7’ Sapong gets in between Jonathan and Abubakar and fires a shot. But Steffen saves.

1’ We’re underway from MAPFRE Stadium!
