How to Watch: Crew SC at Sporting Kansas City

Everything you need to be up to date as the Black & Gold hit the road.

MLS: Sporting KC at Columbus Crew SC Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

Columbus Crew SC’s tough road stretch continues as they head west to face Sporting Kansas City, a team that has lost only twice on the season. The hosts have raced to a table topping 7-2-3 record, earning 24 points.

The home side is in fine form, going 3-1-1 in their last five games. The sole loss at Children’s Mercy Park was on opening day as New York City FC escaped with all three points. Lead by the goal scoring exploits of Johnny Russell, SKC have scored 24 while only letting in 13.

The visitors are in fine form as well. The offense may not be as sharp as in seasons past, tallying 18 — the least of any current playoff team — but the 10 goals allowed is best in Major League Soccer so far. This team is hard to break down.
