How to watch: United States Men’s National Team vs. Paraguay

Two Crew SC mainstays expect to feature for the Stars & Stripes tonight

The United States Men’s National Team returns to action tonight against Atlanta United’s Miguel Almiron and Paraguay. After a goalless draw against Bosnia and Herzegovina, caretaker manager Dave Sarachan continues the youth movement for the United States as he aims to find consistency in his call-ups.

Sarachan’s roster of 22 players has an average age of 23 years old. This means that a good amount of the players figure to be in the equation for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, if the U.S. can qualify.

Although this roster is young, it features players that are familiar to the American soccer landscape.

Former New York Red Bulls defender Matt Miazga returns into the fold, along with DeAndre Yedlin and Bobby Wood. Newcomers such as Toronto FC players Marky Delgado and Alex Bono hope to make an impact during this match and earn their first caps.

One player to watch for is Paris Saint Germain striker Timothy Weah. The 18 year old broke into the PSG lineup after an injury to Neymar earlier this month. He is the son of legendary goal scorer George Weah and looks to find consistent minutes for the Stars & Stripes.

For Columbus Crew SC fans, the eyes will be on Wil Trapp and Zack Steffen. These two young members of the Black & Gold featured together in the draw with Bosnia and Herzegovina, and hope to do so again tonight with Trapp in the midfield and Steffen in goal.

The Stars & Stripes come into this game leading the all-time series against Paraguay with a 3-2-2 all-time record. The last time these teams encountered one another was in 2016, where a Clint Dempsey goal gave the United State a 1-0 in Philadelphia during the Copa America Centenario.
