Columbus Crew SC came out strong in the first half scoring two goals in the first 20 minutes of play. However, Montreal did not go down without a fight though, scoring two goals of their own to tie the game late. Alas, a penalty in stopage time gives Crew SC the win and Gyasi Zardes a brace on the afternoon. Final score 3-2
