Columbus Crew SC teases potential new jerseys

The club released two photos on its social media accounts of what appears to be new uniforms for 2018.

Several MLS clubs released their new kits for the 2018 season in the first days of the new year and it looks like Columbus Crew SC will not be far behind. The Black & Gold published a pair of photos on their social media accounts of what seems to be teasers of the kits the team will wear when the season starts in March.

The images do not show much, though. One of them displays a player (perhaps Federico Higuain) standing on a dark scenario, only lighted by car headlights parked right behind him. The lights are strong enough to show Acura’s name and logo in the jersey, but not much more than that. The image was captioned with “Soon”.

The second image, which was only published on the club’s official Instagram Stories preceded by a "Coming Soon" post, shows pretty much the same, with the difference that it is possible to distinguish team captain Wil Trapp is the player standing. Again, Acura’s name and logo are visible, but not much more than that can be noticed.

Both jerseys appear to be primarily back, which could mean the club will keep it's primary jerseys from 2017 and release a new secondary kit for the upcoming season.

When appearing on the Massive Report podcast back in 2016, club owner Anthony Precourt and President of Business Operations Andy Loughnane discussed how excited they were for the 2018 kits.
