In case you missed it earlier on Monday, Columbus Crew SC traded winger Justin Meram to Orlando City in exchange for over $1 million is allocation money.
Shortly after the deal was reported, Meram put out a tweet thanking the fans from Columbus and his head coach, Gregg Berhalter.

The winger requested a trade earlier this offseason and Berhalter made it clear there would be no deal unless the return would significantly upgrade the team. The offer from Orlando apparently fit that bill.
Meram also put out a message to his followers on Instagram in hopes that Crew SC fans understand his decision to move on.

Meram was drafted by the Black & Gold in 2011 and spent his entire professional career until Monday playing for Columbus.
