Columbus Crew SC teases new signing

On Wednesday, Columbus Crew SC sporting director and head coach Gregg Berhalter hinted at an addition to his team in the coming days. Now the club’s official Twitter account has done the same.

The team was heavily linked to Newell’s Old Boys left back Milton Valenzuela with the deal reportedly done earlier in the week. When asked about Valenzuela on Wednesday, Berhalter gave his now famous refrain: “I’m not going to comment on players not on our roster.”

Additionally, the team was also reportedly sizing up a move for Godoy Cruz forward Santiago Garcia earlier in the offseason.

The team’s feed confirms a deal is done and Berhalter has found another piece for the 2018 season.
