Columbus Crew SC center back Josh Williams had another solid performance in Saturday’s 3-2 win over the New York Red Bulls. and was rewarded on Monday when named to the MLS Team of the Week.

The defender broke up numerous offensive opportunities and scored the game-winning goal in the 67th minute when he flicked Federico Higuain’s corner kick passed Luis Robles.
This finished marked Williams’ first goal since April 2013, in which he was also assisted by Higuain.
Thanks to Williams’ headed effort, the Black & Gold extended the team’s unbeaten run to seven games. Crew SC welcome D.C. United to MAPFRE Stadium at 7:30 p.m. for the final home match of the regular season.
