It was a big week for Columbus Crew SC. The Black & Gold won both of its game, earning six much-needed points as the team continues the push to reach the MLS Cup Playoffs.
As part of those victories came some top performances by several players, three of which were a part of MLS Team of the Week in center back Jonathan Mensah, midfielder Mohammed Abu and forward Ola Kamara, the last two who were on the bench.

Jonathan helped Columbus to a shutout on Wednesday night in a 2-0 win over the LA Galaxy and scored the game-winner in a 2-1 victory against FC Dallas Saturday, his first goal in Major League Soccer.
Abu started the last three games for Crew SC in the absence of fellow central midfielder Artur. Abu registered his first career assist and led the Black & Gold in touches (88), passes (81) and tackles (3) against the Galaxy.
Kamara scored in each of Columbus’ matches this week, extending his team lead to 14 goals. The forward could have had more, but missed a penalty kick against LA.
