Columbus Crew SC vs. Seattle Sounders: Game Time, TV Schedule, Live Stream, Lineup

What to know if you can’t make it to MAPFRE.

MLS: Columbus Crew SC at Seattle Sounders FC Jennifer Buchanan-USA TODAY Sports

Columbus Crew SC return home after three games on the road in the midst of four games in 14 days. They badly need some MAPFRE magic. The Seattle Sounders come to town and will be missing Clint Dempsey, Jordan Morris, and Chad Marshall after they edged the Portland Timbers in their game on Saturday.

Crew SC struggled mightily to their worst league defeat in team history on Friday night and a desperate to stop a two game slide that is part of a recent dip in form that has seen them lose five of their last seven games.

The defending champs, Seattle is hoping that they’ve already turned turned a corner in 2017 as they have now won two straight after three consecutive losses and a start that has left them out of the Western Conference Playoff spots nearly half way through the season.

Expected Lineups

Crew SC vs. Sounders

Keys to the Match:

Missing Pieces: Seattle will be shorthanded and it will be up to Crew SC to take advantage. The Sounders are a lot less dangerous without Clint Dempsey and Jordan Morris. The replacements will have to get up to speed quickly with the rest of the first 11 that remains. A struggling Crew SC defense has a slightly less challenging evening.

In with the new: While the Sounders will be shuffling by necessity, Crew SC is expected to shuffle the lineup after the lopsided loss in Toronto. The fresh faces are supposed to break the team out of the funk that has seen them slip to sixth in the Eastern Conference.

Homestyle: Tonight’s match is the first home game since Crew SC’s loss to Toronto on May 10th. They they play two more on the road. This is the Black & Gold’s best chance to get some momentum before they face the worst team in the Western Conference, the Colorado Rapids and a vital trip against conference foe Atlanta United.
