Columbus Crew SC finishes the regular season with two away games starting with a match in Orlando today. While Columbus is already in the playoffs the, home side is on the outside looking in.
Crew SC is at full strength and riding an eight game winning streak, but all five wins during the streak have come at home. Columbus hasn't one away from MAPFRE Stadium since visiting Minnesota on July 4th. This will be a chance to get a result on the road, something they’ll have to do in the playoffs.
Orlando City's bright start to the season has crumbled. Six wins and the first seven games, including a stretch of one win in 20 games during the middle of the season. Orlando has now won two out of the last five games as they finally found a bit of form playing the spoiler.

Keys to the match:
Nothing to play for: Orlando City is out of the playoff picture. It’s a team that really has nothing to play for... other than pride and a roster spot for next year. Those teams can be dangerous. Crew SC took care of D.C. United at home and that will serve as a blueprint to beating Orlando. Come out and take control. If you let the home side play thier game, then they can grow into that spoiler role.
Something to play for: It will be hard, but not impossible, for Crew SC to climb to fourth in the conference. It will take at least one win and a Chicago Fire collapse to do it. Chicago had been struggling, but have steadied over the last month. That likely means Crew SC has to take six points to overcome the Fire’s two point and superior tiebreaking advantage in goal differentials. That starts in Orlando.
Staying sharp: Crew SC has been in good form as a team, but it’s built off of great individual efforts. Federico Higuain, Ola Kamara, Justin Meram, and Pedro Santos have really developed a strong rapport. Further back, Artur is back healthy while Josh Williams has paired well with Jonathan Mensah at center back. They aren’t the beasts of the East yet, but this is becoming a dangerous team. Even if Crew SC can’t wrangle a win, keeping the core of this team in form is vital to a long stay in the playoffs.
