Here's all you need to know about today's Crew SC match as well as your spot to chat during the match.

Troy Wayrynen-USA TODAY Sports

The last time Columbus Crew SC went out on the road things did not go well. That game ended in a 2-0 loss to the Montreal Impact at Stade Olympique on turf that Black & Gold players called the worst they had ever played on.

After two straight wins at MAPFRE Stadium, the club's first two of the season, Crew SC head back on the road and back to turn as they face the Seattle Sounders on Saturday afternoon.

All time in MLS play, the series between these two is pretty even. The Sounders hold the advantage with a 4-3-3 record over the Black & Gold, but under head coach Gregg Berhalter, Columbus is 2-0 against Seattle with a 2-1 victory in the last meeting at CenturyLink Field two seasons ago.

Neither of these teams is off to the start they would have liked as both sit outside of the playoffs in the early going. A win in this match for either club could help turn around a slow start to season.

Keys to the Match

  • Breaking down the tough defense: Despite a -3 goal differential, the Sounders have one of the better defenses in the league, allowing 10 goals through seven matches. That is good enough to be in a tie for fifth-best in MLS.
  • Containing Dempsey, Morris: Although the attacking duo of Clint Dempsey and Jordan Morris has only produced three goals this year, the U.S. internationals are always dangerous in attack for Seattle.
  • Time to explode: Crew SC scored 58 goals a season ago -- second best in MLS -- but have only seven goals through seven matches this year. A three-goal outburst two weeks ago looked promising but it must start to come consistently.
  • Make something of possession: The Sounders have sat back and countered a lot this season as they get their offense figured out. The Black & Gold struggle to breakdown compact defenses, but might need to in this contest.
