As has become custom in the Major League Soccer Expansion Drafts, Columbus Crew SC had a player selected.
This time it was midfielder Mohammed Saeid, taken by Minnesota United FC in the third round of Tuesday’s Expansion Draft.

Saeid played two seasons with the Black & Gold, appearing 50 times (42 starts) and registering six assists including five in 2016.
