Crew SC lose the central midfielder to Minnesota United FC

As has become custom in the Major League Soccer Expansion Drafts, Columbus Crew SC had a player selected.

This time it was midfielder Mohammed Saeid, taken by Minnesota United FC in the third round of Tuesday’s Expansion Draft.

Saeid played two seasons with the Black & Gold, appearing 50 times (42 starts) and registering six assists including five in 2016.

In the 21-year history of MLS, there have been 10 Expansion Drafts and 10 Black & Gold players selected in each. Below is the list of Columbus players taken over the years.
