The People's Ratings: Columbus Crew SC vs. Orlando City

Aside from the officiating, how did you like the game?

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

GK: Steve Clark: 7.68 (SD 1.00) - Peppered as Orlando tried to press their man advantage, but he stood up to the pressure before getting beat on a long range blast.

RB: Hector Jimenez 6.76 (.77) - Solid on both sides of the ball. He got an assist while bending, but not breaking as Orlando looked to steer attacks at him.

RCB: Michael Parkhurst 5.62 (1.69) - Opinion was split on the captain as the high standard deviation attests to, some blamed him for the card whereas others were more lenient.

LCB: Tyson Wahl 6.86 (.85) - A surprise starter as Pogatetz was initially rested. He formed a stiff back line partnership with the Austrian as they weathered the Lions attacking storm well.

LB: Waylon Francis 6.81 (1.03) - Worked on both sides of the ball for the full 90. His assist was built off of a great effort. He did give away the ball on Ribero's late goal. You could see the fatigue that led to the bad touch.

CM: Mohammed Saied 6.76 (.70) - Forced to cover a lot of ground for 75 minutes, Saied was calm and collected as he kept trying to move the team in transition.

CM: Tony Tchani 7.57 (.87) - Very nice header followed by a full 90 of effort. Tchani's fitness is never in doubt as he appears to have nearly limitless energy.

RW: Ethan Finlay 6.90 (.94) - Again, another player who is seemingly tireless. He played well as the traditional wide midfielder in the 4-4-1 defensive shell, but broke forward as quickly as possible to support Kamara.

CAM: Federico Higuain 5.71 (1.19) - Sacrificed as an early sub because of Parkhurst's red.

LW: Justin Meram 5.76 (.83) - Subbed at the half as Berhalter tried to find the right balance between rotation and effectiveness.

ST: Kei Kamara 8.38 (.92) - Target forward down a man is one of the most thankless jobs in soccer. He did that hard work to dig out balls and give the defense some relief. The goal was a just reward.

SUB 1: Emanuel Pogatetz 8.10 (1.20) - Originally given the night off, but once again he came up with an outstanding performance. His presence in the box cut down on the chances Orlando had.

SUB 2: Kristinn Steindórsson 5.86 (1.20) - Played solid defense, but lacked the speed of Finlay to make a bigger impact on the counter.

SUB 3: Chris Klute 6.00 (.77) - He was asked to stop the attacks coming down a fatigued Jimenez's side. Orlando struggled to create as much when Klute came in.

Coaching: Gregg Berhalter 7.86 (.85) - He initially wanted to rotate the squad, but with Parkhurst out, he didn't hesitate to put in Pogatetz. He kept the battling Kamara in while saving Higuain. Steindórsson and Klute augmented the defense.

Officiating Crew 2.19 (1.21) - You expected different? No one thought Petrescu did a good job. The maximum vote for the crew was a 4. Simon Borg may have agreed with the big call, but MR readers disagreed. Can't blame you.
