The People's Ratings: Columbus Crew SC vs. Seattle Sounders

This one impressed the voters.

Greg Bartram-USA TODAY Sports

A decisive win against an offensive juggernaut? Outstanding offensive performances? A defense that kept Dempsey and Oba from doing too much damage.

GK: Steve Clark: 7.14 (SD .90) - One legitimate goal allowed and one from uncalled offside that he parried the first shot. It was a good bounce back game.

RB: Hector Jimenez 7.47 (.94) - The new starter impressed against the dangerous Sounders attackers.

RCB: Michael Parkhurst 7.22 (1.07) - The captain trailed the rest of the backline as he also played defensive midfield, something he's only done a couple other times in his career. He was game for it.

LCB: Emanuel Pogatetz 8.50 (1.08) - Another titanic performance. He's been an outstanding addition to the Crew SC defense.

LB: Waylon Francis 7.50 (.85) - Caught up field occasionally, but that's the life of a Berhalter wingback. More importantly, he was useful in attack when pressed forward.

CM: Mohammed Saied 7.03 (.84) - Charged with tracking Dempsey and Martins as they drifted. Was subbed early due to a minor injury.

CM: Tony Tchani 7.17 (.88) - Big and physical presence that annoys and hassles his opponents in the central midfield. Typical solid Tchani game.

RW: Ethan Finlay 7.47 (.94) - A bit wasteful with his chances, but still was a menace on the evening.

CAM: Federico Higuain 8.46 (.74) - An active and vintage performance from the team's playmaking Designated Player. His goal was a well struck, hopeful, drive, but he put it exactly where it needed to be.

LW: Justin Meram 7.61 (.90) - Another very good and complete performance from Meram. It's fun watching things click for him.

ST: Kei Kamara 9.06 (.80) - Another monster game from Kei. He gets plenty of chances, but he's converting them very well.

SUB 1: Tyson Wahl 6.33 (.94) - A typical Wahl performance. Nothing flashy, but serviceable and workman like. Nice option to have off the bench.

SUB 2: Aaron Schoenfeld 5.73 (.94) - Voters are still wishing for more than workman like from Schoenfeld. The drop from starter to reserve is stark in the eye of the masses.

SUB 3: Kristinn Steindórsson 6.03 (1.09) - Flashes of his impressive preseason are starting to appear, but it will be hard to unseat Meram.

Coaching: Gregg Berhalter 8.58 (1.16) - The game plan looked like weeks previous, but execution was improved and the team moved the ball well and into the right spots.

Officiating Crew 4.51 (1.92) - The blown offside call that lead to Dempsey's second goal hangs over a generally evenly officiated game.
