Columbus Crew SC face Montreal after Impact downs Toronto

It's official. Columbus Crew SC will face the Montreal Impact in the semifinal round of the MLS Playoffs after the Impact breezed past Toronto FC with ease 3-0. Crew SC play at Stade Saputo on Sunday at 7pm on Fox Sports 1 and host the return leg on the following Sunday, November 8th. Time to be announced.

The Impact have been red hot to close out the season and that continued into the playoffs. After edging Toronto on Sunday to host the lockout game, the Impact raced ahead and lead 3-0 by halftime behind goals from Patrice Bernier, Ignacio Piatti, and Didier Drogba. Toronto never recovered.

Columbus faced Montreal twice in the regular season with the Impact winning both times. Crew SC fell 2-1 in June at MAPFRE Stadium while the Impact cruised to victory 3-0 in July in Montreal. Both games were played before the arrival of Drogba.
