Columbus Crew SC Select Sergio Campbell in MLS Draft First Round

Columbus Crew SC selected center UConn back Sergio Campbell with the 19th pick in the MLS SuperDraft. Crew SC traded their original 14th pick to the Colorado Rapids for their first-round pick and "future considerations."

Campbell played three years at UConn after transferring from the University of Central Arkansas after his freshman year. The 6-4, 192 pound defender is physical and can play with his feet. He will add depth to the Black and Gold's defensive line, which is in need of help.

Crew SC has the 14th pick in the second round of the SuperDraft.
