The Crew are set to make a Major Announcement tomorrow at 12:00 PM at the Crew Stadium Upper 90 Club. A release from the club said that Hunt Sports Group Chairman Clark Hunt will be addressing the media. Team President & General Manager Mark McCullers will also be on hand to talk to members of the media after the announcement.
Speculation is running rampant about the subject of the announcement. Head Coach Robert Warzycha is firmly on the hot seat, but personnel changes aren't usually announced during a pre-arranged press conference.
It's more likely that this is significant movement on the business front. The Crew has reportedly made significant progress on their Goal 10K ticket push. The team has been actively looking for a name sponsor for Columbus Crew Stadium. HSG has also renewed their push for a local ownership group to invest in the team.
