The plans for Kirk Urso's memorial were finalized and services will be held in his home town of Lombard, IL.
Visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 10 from 2 to 9 PM at Christ the King Church, 1501 S. Main St., Lombard.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, with visitation at Christ the King Church, 1501 S. Main St. Lombard, from 9AM until 10:30 AM with an 11AM Mass. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
Kirk is survived by his parents, Michael & Sandy nee Ceponis of Lombard; a brother, Kyle (Erica Millett); a nephew, cousin & friend to many.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James & Mildred and his maternal grandparents, Albert & MaryAnn Ceponis.
Kirk is a member of the Columbus Crew Professional Soccer Team. He played club soccer for Socker's F. C. He was a member of the North Carolina State National Championship team. He was the 2011 Team Captain.

The Crew also announced plans to memorialize Kirk on Saturday and the rest of 2012:
Prior to the Crew’s 7:30 p.m. match against Toronto FC this Saturday, Aug. 11, a floral wreath featuring Kirk's image will be displayed in front of the Lamar Hunt statue at Founder’s Park located on the Crew Stadium plaza. Fans are encouraged to pay respects and leave remembrances, which will then be delivered to the Urso family.
During a pre-game ceremony, a video tribute honoring Urso and his accomplishments will run on the video board, followed by a moment of silence. Additionally, Crew players and coaches will wear a number 15 arm band, which will be replaced by a commemorative uniform patch for the remainder of the season. The Crew Stadium pitch will also feature a number 15 insignia, and the official Match Day program will include a special poster celebrating Urso’s career with the team.
