The Columbus Crew has learned that midfielder Kirk Urso has passed away on Saturday night.
While the circumstances of Urso’s passing are still being determined, no further comments will be made at this time.

Urso was drafted 10th overall in the 2012 MLS Superdraft by Columbus, making his debut in the season opener vs. Colorado this season. In college, he played for the University of North Carolina, where he was captain of the team during the 2011 season.
