The Crew lost the finale against the Montreal Impact 1-0 last night as a Justin Mapp goal in traffic was the only score of the game. It was the team's only loss in Orlando as they moved to 5-2-0 in preseason play.
The Crew played their starters, with Danny O'Rourke the only addition to the starting lineup in place of Matias Sanchez. O'Rourke and Agustin Viana went the first half before Tony Tchani and Sanchez replaced them. Several players went the distance, but Head Coach Robert Warzycha withdrew Dominic Oduro in the 65th minute and then withdrew Federico Higuain and Jairo Arrieta five minutes later.
The Crew offense was stuck in neutral most of the night as sloppy passing and unforced turnovers slowed the Black and Gold attack. The Impact was able to create chances off the building pressure, but weren't able to convert except off of Mapp's effort off of a second half corner kick.
The Crew return to action against North Carolina today in the Kirk Urso Memorial Match at 1pm. The game is in honor of fallen Tar Heel captain and Crew midfielder Kirk Urso.
