Full 2013 Crew Schedule Unveiled

Jamie Sabau

The league unveiled the full slate of games today.

MLS announced their schedule today, revealing the Crew's full slate of games. The Black and Gold open with two West Coast games before opening against San Jose on March 16th. The team also plays three times on national television, twice on NBC Sports Network (March 23rd at D.C. and May 4th v. NYRB) and once on the Spanish language network UniMas (May 25th at NYRB)

The Crew is under contract with FoxSports Ohio to televise the team's games, but the final broadcast schedule hasn't been released. FSO's recent acquisition of Sports Time Ohio creates some uncertainty with how the broadcast schedule will be handled. FSO initially indicated that they would keep STO running to ensure enough locations for their contracted programming which now includes the Columbus Blue Jackets, Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Indians, in addition to the Crew.

Columbus also has a break between September 4th and September 21st without a home game. The U.S. v Mexico tilt is scheduled for the 10th and Crew Stadium a strong contender to host the game. The Crew also only have three midweek games, playing twice on the road and hosting the Houston Dynamo on September 4th.
