This shouldn't be really a surprise that Frankie Hejduk may be coming back to the Crew in a non-playing role. The team had always said they would make a spot for him once his career over. With the Galaxy declining to sign him and no one interested in bringing him to camp, it apparently was time to call it a career. The So-Cal transplant makes his home in Columbus. He had also met with several members of the front office at a Crew Season Ticket event in January in a social setting, so any hard feelings from his 2010 departure appear to be gone. Much like Duncan Oughton, it's outstanding to see the organization to make ties to the past. Frankie Hejduk is a legend for the Black and Gold.
