The Crew salvaged another late draw off of an Eddie Gaven header in the 90th minute. Gaven headed the ball in between Jimmy Nielson and the upright.
Sporting Kansas City head the lead for nearly 80 minutes after a 10th minute goal by CJ Sapong.
