Federico Higuain scored his 4th goal of the season in the 17th minute as he took a deflection, split two Toronto defenders, cut back to the left and fired back to the right past keeper Freddy Hall.

The play started with a long pass out of the back from Sebastian Miranda that found Jairo Arrieta. Arrieta cut the ball, but it was poked out and ricochetted off of a TFC defender and right to Higuain who clinically finished.

Neither side had created any great chances until the deflection as both sides battled the windy and rainy conditions at Crew Stadium.
